As you may have probably already guessed, I'm a complete and total bibliophile. I love getting new books to add to my bookshelf, and my favorite site is Goodreads. To tell the truth, I barely even have a life without reading. There's just something special about being able to escape your own life and fall into adventures where no matter how violent, you can't get hurt. I can't say the same for real life (not that I have any experience of it). I often get yelled at by my parents, but not for what teenagers usually get in trouble. Unlike other people, I get yelled at for reading too much. What's unfair is that my brother gets yelled at to read and I get yelled at to stop reading. So. Not. Fair.
Interesting factoid: I have about a million book boyfriends. I guess it's true what they say...your heart really never runs out of space to love:) My favorite book boyfriends as I'm writing this are probably Jace from The City of Bones, Will from The Infernal Devices, Gideon from Ruby Red, Dimitri from Vampire Academy, Adrian from Bloodlines, Hector from The Girl of Fire and Thorns, Chaol from Throne of Glass, etc. etc. There are just too many to name. If you want to see another example of how book-obsessed I am, just take a look at this graphic design project at the left that I did for school. See, told you I'm obsessed. Fortunately, I'm obsessed and proud, so no worries:) In fact, what I love so much about blogging is meeting other fellow book nerds who love reading just as much as I do; bookies are are spread all over the world, so it's easier meeting them through blogging than in real life. Every new friend and follower I have just makes me feel better and better about me and my blog. Cliché, I know, but true.
When I'm not reading, I'm either blogging, watching a movie (this rarely happens...the movie would have to be really good), or being special in my own way, which means expressing my love of all things Disney (like Disney Channel), as well as my adoration for all those pretty Barbie dolls out there. And no, I don't play with them, but you have to admit that a lot of them, especially the Holiday editions, are to-die-for. Of course, not many people think that, but I have a thing for fashion and pretty things. Call me petty, but it's true. When I'm not doing any of the any of the things mentioned above, you'll find me either napping (my bed is so comfy!) or designing something on Photoshop. It's just so fun! I love combining the things I love best into my designs; it makes them interesting and gives the viewer a sense of who I am. For example, if you look to the right, you'll see a graphic design portraying my love of Disney, as previously stated. Who doesn't love Disney, right? The header was also something I designed on Photoshop, and I love how in a weird way, it kind of displays my love of the mysterious and whatever else you want to interpret form it. That's enough of that though; there are way more interesting things to talk about.
For one, I am a huge lover of all things junk-food in the sweet category, for example, Lindt truffles, donuts (especially Boston Cremes), blizzards from DQ, and basically anything you can think of. Candy is a rare for me though. Now knowing how much junk I eat, I realize that I should look like a ball, but luckily, it seems that - at least for the moment - I have a really fast metabolism. That's the life right: junk food, reading, and napping;) Unfortunately, I completely left off the studying part. I study almost as much as I read, which sucks. What's worse is that I'm a huge procrastinator, so I end up staying up late each night to make up for my reading time. On the days that I actually managed to complete all my studying and homework, you'll find me hiding under the covers late at night either on my kindle or iBooks. Not a great habit, but there it is.
By the way, all books I read almost always have to contain romance; if it doesn't have love, it doesn't interest me. I don't know why, but that's a little fun fact about me. My favorite genres as of now are YA and Historical Romance. To get even more detailed, I enjoy reading YA mysteries, dystopias (hence the dystopian London theme of the blog), romances, and fantasy. I have tons of book recommendations, and if you ever need some good book recs just make a comment on this blog or send me an email; I'd love to help.
So that's all that's interesting about me I guess. I hope you don't completely hate me XD
